Eye Clinic "Akhali Mzera" was founded in 1999 by Professor Merab Dvali at the base of the Department of Eye Diseases of the Tbilisi State Medical University. The need to establish the clinic was driven by the lack of comprehensive and highly qualified ophthalmological services. At that time patients with various eye pathologies practically did not have the opportunity to receive ophthalmological services that met international standards based on the best medical practices.
